Seattle Boat Show Banner

Greetings from the Bridge of District 13!

The Bridge of D-13 extends a hearty invitation to all Auxiliarist throughout the District and other areas to stand a Watch at the Seattle 2012 Boat Show!

We are looking forward to an exciting time of fellowship with Auxiliarists at the Boat Show as we continue this voyage of working with the public in the Recreational Boating Safety Programs of the US Coast Guard and Auxiliary!

As you may know 2012 is an ear mark of some changes in Washington State RBS and will be a year to remember!

This event will present many new challenges in working with the public in their education and understanding of these many changes and changes to come. In addition, the Auxiliary booth has been upgraded to a new presentation of its display materials, including flat panel screens for videos!

We extend this invitation to all Auxiliarists and if you plan to be in the Seattle area we want you to have the opportunity to stand a Watch if you so desire.

The boat show is Jan 27- Feb 5th 2012.

There are many staffing positions available at the Auxiliary Booth for those who wish to participate. These positions may be combined with watch standing.

Among them are:

  • Setup Crew - Sets up the display, arrives early. Time TBD.
  • Auxiliary Officer of the watch (A.O.W.) - Arrives 15 minutes early to accept briefings for the continuity of information for the next watch and makes boat show log entries as needed.

So please take this opportunity to view the sign up sheet. If you want to make an entry and need to change it later on that is fine.  The new sheet is improved and is divided into 3 watches of about 3 hours each.

We expect many Auxiliarists desiring to stand a watch so please limit your watch stand sign ups. Later on, in the third week of January you are welcome to re-visit the sign up sheet and sign up for additional watches if there are any left.

All Staff and Watch Stand Positions including setup and breakdown will receive this commemorative patch.
